Notes

• Isaac Love married Virginia Dumond, daughter of Louis B Dumont andFélicité (Felicity) Caillot Dumont.  Their first listing in the censuswas in 1850, when they have been married about 5 years.
  
  Patrick Noonan, in his genealogy on Ancestry World Tree(http://trees.ancestry.com/pt/person.aspx?tid=1008393&pid=-2016416836&ftm=1) reports that Virginia Dumond married Isaac Love about 1849 inArkansas County.  But Patrick does not report their oldest child, bornin 1846.  (While David could be a child from a previous marriage ofIsaac, this does not appear to be the case.)  In the 1850 census theyare living in Desha County, so his report that they married inArkansas County could be wrong.
  
  It may be that they were married in Arkansas County (at Arkansas Poston the north side of the river, where Virginia was living with hermother in 1840) though they lived and farmed in neighboring DeshaCounty.  Virginia's brother Caliste purchased public land in 1850, andhis plot of 60 acres is designated as being in both Arkansas Countyand Desha County.

  Note the change of birth state in this report for Isaac, in 1850Georgia, now Tennessee.  I also see that David is now reported as 15,11 years older than in 1850, even though the census is earlier in theyear.  He should be either 9 or 10, depending on the birth month, orshould have already been 5 in 1850.  Meanwhile, Virginia has lostyear, gaining only 8 years of age in less than 10 years.  Isaac hasgained 13 years during this period!  These age variations throughoutthese censuses are always a reminder of the difference in culturalworldview at that period, compared to our modern minutial focus ondetails as objective information.
  
  Before the next census, Isaac and Virginia moved to the western partof Arkansas, buying land in Yell County, near Dardanelle, on theArkansas River.  A John L Dumond is with them.  This must be a nephewof Virginia, but the age 13 does not match  John L who is the son ofPierre Dumond and Mary Pinot, who should be 23 or 24 in 1870.  Itcould be the same person, and the age was written down wrong by theenumerator.  John L (probably John Louis) had lost both his parentswhen he was young.

  Isaac's age here matches that in 1850.  We get a bit more informationalso on the children, with middle initials given.  Isaac and Virginiahave a new daughter, Lucinda F.  Also, Frances' name is now spelled inthe expected female form.  David is out on his own at this time, andwe find him enumerated as a single man working as a merchant inJefferson County (Pine Bluff area).  (See notes for David.)
