Note that William is reported as 3/4 Indian (Choctaw, though inreality he is Chickasaw), even though his father was White! He shouldbe 1/2 Indian. Even more surprising is that his children are reportedwith an even higher percentage, at 7/8, even though their mother alsois White! A similar error occurs in the report for William's halfbrothers in the house next door. William is living next door to hiswidowed mother Fannie Colbert and two of her sons.
