• I have not determined defintely Elva Jean's birth date.  The 1900census reprots the date of April 1860, genealogies generally reportthe year of 1861, which seems to fit better with other census ages.

  Someone has transcribed a portion of the Kaufman County Marriagerecord to give us the entries for Elva Jean and other members of herfamily.  This transcriber gives us additionally Elva's middle name,which is attested in the census only as Elva J and the marriage recordalso has her name as Elvy J.  I notice that the transcriber has givenher name as Jane.  A family genealogy posting this list has added thefull name, with the middle name as Jean.
