- For a long time I could find no information indicating that Sarah HMcSwain ever married. Finally in March 2008, I found one familygenealogy, by Shane Hamrick, that reported the spouse of Susannah HMcSwain. She married James Louis Hamrick in 1872. James was born in1852 and died in 1907, according to Shane.
In the 1850 census she is listed as 2 years old. But familygenealogies report her birth date as 24 December 1846. This wouldmean that in August 1850, she would have been 3 and almost 4.

I found her listed with these dates in the Beaverdam Cemetery Registercompiled by W D Floyd. This also informs us that she was the wife ofJ L Hamrick.
