  Elmer is listed here as W E.  I originally concluded that the W standsfor William, and this is confirmed by a Find a Grave Memorial forWilliam.  The name on his grave is actually William E.  This seems tobe the correct W E Brinkley, in the proximity of his parents in theHudson Cemetery and other members of this Brinkley family.  However,the gravestone (if this transcription is correct -- there is no photoprovided) has the birth year only as 1900, while we know that Elmerand Zelma were born in Sept 1899, according to the 1900 census, whenthey were already 8 months old.  The error of one or more years in thedate on gravestones is a surprisingly frequent problem.
