This and a couple of other genealogies reports Mary's birth date as 21August 1840, while the 1900 census reports August 1945, with amatching age of 54, Ages in every other census also supports thebirth date in 1845.
Mary was first married to James C Wallace. The first indication ofthat in public records was the presence of Carson (Carcy) Wallace, born about 1863, in the Miller household in 1870 and 1880, reported asa stepson of John W Miller. Carcy is actually reported under the nameCarcy Miller (and no relationships are reported until the 1880census). The 1880 census clarifies the name and relationship.
