- I was uncertain about the spelling, remembering this older cousin frommy early childhood, but never have seen the name written down. Ithought of the name as O'Neill. I found the correct (at leastofficially recorded) spelling first in the Social Security DeathIndex. However, the name is spelled in other records as O'neil. Hisfather's name appears as Neill or Neil.
