  • According to Lowrey family information, Catherine Wirt Tilley was born28 Dec 1806 in Bladensburg, Prince George's Co Maryland.  P G Countysurrounds the District of Columbia.  Catherine died in the late 1880sin Wewoka, Indian Territory, which later became Hughes, County,Arkansas.

    Catherine Wirt Tilley married Henry Lowry in on 11 Dec 1838 in thePresbyterian Church in  Ft Wayne, Indiana.  She and Henry lived inWilliamsport, Warren County, Indiana.  These and other details arereported in a genealogy prepared by their daughter Octavia.

    In 1860 we see them in White County, Indiana.  Their medical studentson John Tilley is the only child still in their home.
