- I found Larkin Briscoe with his wife Elizabeth in the 1850 census onthe same page with other Briscoes. They are living in Kaufman County,Texas, next door to Larkin's parents, Isaac and Hester, and on theother side his brother Thomas Briscoe. Larkin and Elizabeth arenewlyweds living in the household of Susannah (Susania) Briscoe, whoappears to be a widowed head of houshold, with her children. Larkinis a Farmer, but not head of the household.

The Fain Family Genealogy, which reports a lot of good information onthe Briscoe family, reports that Larkin died in Warwickshire, England! This, however, conflicts with this other public information (reportedbelow), reported to be based on family information, that he died inthe American Civil War. This genealogy includes no notes or storiesto indicate where much of the information was obtained, though somecensuses and similar documents are included.
